Like any organisation, we need money to carry out all our functions. Part of the money we use to do this comes through rental income.
Our current rental income budget is £336m, and we manage some 86,000 homes.
During 2017/18 we collected 99.8% of rent and rates due. Total rent and rates arrears increased by £0.1m to £12.3m. 73% of our tenants showed a clear rent account for the year.
During the year, we continued to provide advice and support, including debt counselling and preventative arrangements for those who had difficulty paying their rent. We also took firm action against those who persisted in not paying their rent.
